Must Have Gadgets

Must have gadgets are the types of gadgets that are extremely useful and serve a very specific function. Typically they save you money or solve a problem you have been having for a long time.

The list below is a very brief list of must have gadgets after a little introspection. This list is by no means comprehensive but at least a nice place to start. I think everyone has their own unique list of must have gadgets depending on your background and lifestyle.

Indoor / Outdoor Wireless Temperature Gauge is a must have gadget. Why?

When you wake up in the morning and are ready to go to work it is only natural to have a good idea what the temperature is so you know how much or how little to wear that day. This is especially useful if you live in an area of wide ranging temperatures and/or seasons.

I personally bought such a gadget for my mother a long time ago and it remains one of the single most used gadgets on a daily basis. It reads the indoor and outdoor temperature and does so wirelessly with a clear large text. It is a very simple gadget but also extremely useful.

GPS Dog or Cat Locator Gadget

Do you have a dog or a cat? Do you love your pets? If you have had a pet for any length of time then you know how horrible it would be if they became lost and you could not locate them.

I used to have an adorable pet cat for a long period of time and there were several times when our pet cat got lost in the woods or stuck somewhere and we had no way of knowing where he disappeared to. Had we had a GPS Cat locator gadget we would have been able to locate him instantly.

Indoor pets are much less likely to need a GPS locator collar, but if you own a dog or cat that likes to wander a lot or has frequently disappeared far from your home in the past, then the GPS locator gadget qualifies as a must have gadget in my book.

LED Key Chain Flashlight

The LED key chain flashlight gadget is a must have gadget because it is simple and useful and always stays with you. You simply attach it to your car key chain and then you instantly have a bright long lasting LED flashlight everywhere you go as long as you are carrying your car keys. It is a must have gadget because you simply never know when you will need some portable light and it is nice to know you have it with you at all times.

Magnetic Soap Holder Gadget

The magnetic soap holder gadget is a great gadget for those who are sick and tired of having messy soap on their sinks throughout the house. Attach a magnetic holder to the bathroom wall or in the shower and then squeeze in the magnet into each new piece of soap. The magnetic soap holder automatically holds the soap as if it is weightless in the air.

This prevents soap from staying wet and messy in a soap dish and also makes your soap last that much longer because it gets a chance to dry out! I view this as a must have gadget because it is one that I have used for decades and found to be extremely useful.

iRobot Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Vacuuming the floors and carpets of your living space is just one of those typical chores everyone has to do once in a while. But why not leave the job to a robot ? The iRobot vacuum cleaner vacuums all day long without bothering you and keeps your floors clean and polished and then automatically charges itself. It is a great innovation and time saver. Must have in my book.

Samsung Super Amoled Galaxy Tablet 7.7

If you have not tried out the new computer tablets yet you need to. The new Samsung Super Amoled Display Galaxy Tab 7.7 is light, solid and great for internet use if you are on the go. It has a small enough form factor so that you can even fit it in your pocket. The larger display is good enough for easy web browsing and reading ebooks.

So that was my mini list of must have gadgets. Your must have gadgets are likely to be somewhat different depending on your particular tastes and interests.

More gadgets are listed on the right hand column of this page. Again, this is not a comprehensive must have gadgets list but a somewhat additional random selection of gadgets that you may find interesting.

The bottom line is that there really may not be an 'ultimate' list of the best must have gadgets of all time. Why? Because technology is evolving so fast now that what was the 'coolest' last year is already considered 'stone age' by today. So we have this constant shedding effect of 'out with the old' and in with the 'new'. New lasts about a few months on a good portion of gadgets.

Some gadgets however are so timeless that they never really get 'old'. So these are the ones that would probably make it to a permanent must have gadgets list.
