Welcome to GadgetGnome!

I am Tom and I started this site in early 2009 simply because I love gadgets of all kinds and writing about them and finding them.

The pace of innovation these days is mind boggling.  Tech just seems to be speeding up at a faster and faster rate.

But why do we love gadgets so much? Is it the coolness factor? The ‘new appeal’?  Or maybe the ‘make my life easier’ appeal of gadgets?  I am not exactly sure which reason it is, perhaps it is a combination or some entirely different reasons. I just know that I love gadgets and maybe you do too?

Since the site is just starting out I can’t tell you exactly how it will be structured or which categories of gadgets it will cover. However if you have some favorite categories of gadgets please feel free to let me know.  In addition, if you happen to find some really cool and neato gadgets then please do me a favor and submit them using this form.

Did you know that you can also rate the gadgets after they are posted?  At the bottom of each post there are 10 stars and you can move your mouse pointer over them and decide how that particular gadget rates on a coolness scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst.

Then, the top 100 rated gadgets are listed on this page.
