I want to tell you about a superb software gadget that I have been using for over 3 years now.  It is a FREE RSS reader that you can download and install (takes about one minute) to your desktop.

Simply put, I love it and it has saved me loads of time and make life a whole lot easier over the years.  Now don’t get me wrong, I still use tons of other RSS readers and aggregators to keep track of all my stuff that I like to follow.  But sometimes you just need the best tool for the job, even though you will still keep your other tools.

The software gadget I am talking about is called KlipFolio and on this page I am going to show you exactly how to use it and get up to speed really fast.

Why Klipfolio? What are the advantages?

• Klipfolio becomes visible and active once your computer is booted up automatically
• You can auto-hide klipfolio on the left side of your screen for easy access when you need it
• You can set audio alerts when new RSS items become available or change.
• You can easily minimize and resize each panel which then resize to full size when you hover over them
• Just quick easy and painless!

Ok, so here is how you install it.

Click on the big orange colored button below to download the setup file to your desktop:

Then after you have saved it to your desktop, simple double click on that file and install it going through the setup routine.  It will show a bunch of default klips that look similar to what you see in the image on this page.

I am glad you asked!

Simply click on the ‘Add an RSS Feed’ (1) on the top menu bar and then you will see the window added (2).

So then click on the button in window (2) and then you will see the following:

In that box, simply type in the following URL, or highlight the below text and cut and paste it into the window:

http://feeds2.feedburner.com/gadgetgnome

Then click on the button ‘Add’ and you are done!

P.S. TIP, click on ‘Layout’ on the top menu of klipfolio and then choose ‘left-sidebar’ and then ‘auto-hide’ to automatically hide your klipfolio on the left side of your computer’s desktop.  Then every time you move your mouse pointer to the very left of your computer screen all of your klips will scroll out. This way, klipfolio stays out of your way when you don’t need it, but you have easy access when you do.
